So, you finally got your Jeep. Whether it’s brand new off the lot or a new-to-you rig, the first thing most of us want to do is start making it our own. If you’re like me and you love camping, overlanding, or just hitting the trails to get away from the crowd, you need mods that add function, safety, and style without requiring a week in the shop.
In my latest video, I’m breaking down my first 10 mods for the Jeep. These range from safety upgrades to "quality of life" improvements that make a massive difference. Here’s the rundown!
1. Auto Buero Spare Tire Brake Light

Safety first! When you move up to a 35-inch tire package, that factory third brake light can get hidden or look a bit awkward. This LED ring fits right behind the spare and lets everyone know exactly when you're stopping. It even fits the 2024 and 2025 Rubicons!
2. Tailgate Table (Lecar Table)

If you’re doing any kind of transition camping or quick trail snacks, a tailgate table is a must. This one fits the 2024 model perfectly. It’s a solid workspace for cooking or just setting things down while you gear up.
3. Hook Road JLU Upper Shelf

This is the "invisible" mod. It’s an upper shelf that sits high in the cargo area, perfect for Molly bags, string lighting, or sleeping bags. Most people don’t even notice it’s there until I point it out, but the extra storage is a lifesaver.
4. Ehaho Aluminum Middle Storage Shelf

To maximize space, I added an aluminum middle shelf. Because it's aluminum, it's super light compared to steel versions. I use it to stack Plano boxes and my Anker Solix C1000 battery system. I even added some foam gym matting to keep everything from sliding around on the trails!
5. Joy Titus Rain Diverter

If you’ve ever opened your Jeep’s rear glass in the rain, you know the struggle: water drips right onto your gear. This rain gutter guard diverts that water to the sides, keeping your cargo area (and your coffee) dry while you’re working out of the back.
6. Wolf Box Rear View Mirror & Dash Cam

When the Jeep is fully packed for a trip, you can’t see anything out of the rear-view mirror. The Wolf Box system uses a rear-mounted camera to give you a crystal-clear, wide-angle digital view of what's behind you. Plus, it doubles as a 4K dash cam!
7. Shifter Hoodies

Not every mod has to be "serious." These little hoodie covers for the gear shifter add some personality and a bit of "flavor" to the interior. They’re a fun, inexpensive way to match the red accents of the Rubicon.
8. Bulletpoint Mounting Gear

This was actually my first mod! It’s a rock-solid mounting system for my phone, handheld radio, and action cameras. It’s perfect for overlanding because nothing shakes or falls, even on the roughest terrain.
9. Sukamichi Grab Handles

For 2024+ Jeeps with the new airbag systems, you can’t use the old wrap-around handles. These paracord handles mount through the top and come over the back, making them safe for airbag deployment while giving you a sturdy grip to hop in and out.
10. Maker Metal Gear Shift Storage Box

Ditch the cheap plastic storage trays! This metal storage box is hard-mounted and built to last. It’s the perfect spot for a radio, your wallet, or a flashlight, and it won't pop out when things get bumpy.
Bonus: American Flag Decals

Since I’m a veteran, I wanted to show a little pride. These rear window decals give the Jeep a great look and were surprisingly easy to apply with a wet application.
